Phillies promote Sam Fuld to general manager’s role under Dave Dombrowski

PHILADELPHIA — In eight years as a major league outfielder, Sam Fuld racked up two four-hit games, two 20-steal seasons, and dozens of dazzling catches. But he wasn’t considered a rising star until three years ago, when he began working in the Phillies’ front office.
