
Crisis club Schalke have dismissed coach Manuel Baum less than three months into a two-year contract and recalled veteran Huub Stevens as an interim solution, the Bundesliga bottom team said Friday. The 67-year-old Dutchman Stevens is a Schalke legend having led them to the 1997 UEFA Cup and returns for a fourth spell on the bench starting at home to Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday.
