Slovakian court acquits millionaire in journalist murder case

Slovak millionaire Marian Kocner was acquitted by a court on Thursday of allegedly masterminding the 2018 murder of investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee.Kocner, who was found guilty on a weapons charge, has stood trial since January in a special court in Pezinok, north-east of Bratislava, charged with orchestrating Kuciak’s murder.Kuciak was shot dead in his home on February 21, 2018, together with his fiancee, Martina Kusnirova.
