Soccer: Kenyan top-scorer Olunga named 1st African J-League MVP

Kenya striker Michael Olunga became the first African to be named the J-League’s most valuable player on Tuesday after topping the scoring chart with 28 goals in 32 games for Kashiwa Reysol this season. The 26-year-old became the eighth scoring leader to be named MVP, following in the footsteps of Yokohama F Marinos midfielder Teruhito Nakagawa, the 2019 MVP.
