SoftBank to launch lower data usage fees following rival NTT Docomo

SoftBank Corp., a wireless carrier unit of SoftBank Group Corp., will offer a 20-gigabyte monthly data usage plan for 2,980 yen ($29) under its budget brand following rival NTT Docomo Inc.’s move to cut fees, sources close to the matter said Monday. SoftBank will introduce the new charge plan under its group mobile phone service operator Line Mobile, the sources said.
