Switzerland and Russia win cross-country team sprints in Dresden

Switzerland and Russia took advantage of the absence of the Nordic powerhouse nations to claim victories in the women’s and men’s cross-country World Cup sprints on Sunday. Laurien van der Graaff and Nadine Faehndrich won for Switzerland at the city event in Dresden with Russia 0.32 seconds behind. Slovenia were third 1.12 seconds back from the winning pair.
