During President Donald Trump’s rally in Minneapolis, teenage girls and boys were seen crying tears of joy as the US president talked about his win in the 2016 election.
The president’s speech lasted 102 minutes, in which he discussed the recent impeachment inquiry placed against him, The Sun reports. “I’m energized because we’re draining the swamp,” he said. “The Democrats’ brazen attempt to overthrow our government will produce a backlash at the ballot box the likes of which they have never ever seen before in the history of this country.”
He continues: “I didn’t need Beyoncé and Jay-Z. I didn’t need little Bruce Springsteen,” who would “do about two songs, then leave … and everyone leaves with him. And (Hillary Clinton is) still speaking in front of the same lousy crowd. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen.” He also stated that Joe Biden “was only a good vice president because he understood how to kiss Barack Obama’s a**”.
Trump defended his July conversation with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy as “a totally appropriate, casual, beautiful, accurate phone call”.
The Minneapolis rally also played Prince’s “Purple Rain” before Trump’s entrance. Prince’s estate then fired back, saying: “President Trump played Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ tonight at a campaign event in Minneapolis despite confirming a year ago that the campaign would not use Prince’s music.
“The Prince Estate will never give permission to President Trump to use Prince’s songs.”
