Tennis: Nishikori pushes back season debut to February

Japan’s Kei Nishikori will make his season debut at the ATP Cup in Melbourne, starting on Feb. 1, he announced Friday on his personal app. Nishikori, who had been out of action for nearly a year when he made his 2020 season debut last September, suffered from shoulder pain as he exited that month’s French Open in the second round.
