Thai police arrest protesters at Bangkok rally

Thai police arrested protesters and scores of police officers were injured during a confrontation at a rally in Bangkok on Saturday. Protesters gathered at Bangkok’s Democracy Monument in a bid to end a draconian law against insulting the monarchy. As night fell, hundreds marched to the Grand Palace but were met with police in full riot gear and barbed wire surrounding the area.
