Trevor Noah Smacks Down Peter Strzok’s Go Fund Me Page, Says It’s Disrespectful To Cancer Patients

Comedian Trevor Noah called out former FBI agent Peter Strzok for starting a GoFundMe page on “The Daily Show” Thursday and said it was disrespectful to cancer patients who use the site to fund their treatment.

“Earlier this week, the Justice Department fired senior FBI Agent … Peter Strzok,” Noah said. “Losing your job is never easy, but looks like Strzok is going to land on his feet.” (RELATED: Trevor Noah Slams Catholic Church — Calls It A ‘Molesting Club With An Opening Prayer’)

Noah then played a clip of news anchors discussing the details of Strzok’s GoFundMe page, which set the original goal at $150,000 for legal fees, before bumping it up to $350,000. Once it reached its goal of $350,000, it was raised again to half a million.

“Okay, first up, this is some bullshit, we need to address about GoFundMes in general,” Noah continued. “How do people say ‘this is the amount I need’ and then change the amount when they get it? That’s not a thing.”

“Imagine you met someone on the street and they’re like, ‘Hey man could you help me out. I need $50 to go see my family.’ You’re like okay here, here. Here’s $50. He’s like, ‘now that I’ve reached $50 I now need $100 to go see my family.’”

Noah called the page a “scam” and said there are cancer patients who use the site, who are getting less attention than Strzok.

“This is a scam,” he concluded. “Half a million dollars on a GoFundMe just for hating Donald Trump! There’s cancer patients on that site that are like ‘hey, we hate him, too, can you pay for my treatment? No! You don’t really hate him, we can tell!”
