Trump Shuts Down Question on DOJ at Moon Meeting

President Donald Trump on Tuesday abruptly shut down a reporter’s question about Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, brushing off the inquiry as inappropriate because visiting South Korean president Moon Jae-in “doesn’t want to hear these questions.”

The awkward shushing of the journalist came during a press spray in the Oval Office about the setbacks for the denuclearization summit with North Korea, Mediaite reported.

But when one reporter asked about Trump’s Monday meeting with Rosenstein, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, the president turned his head in the opposite direction and asked “What’s your next question please.”

He then looked back toward the shut-down reporter and declared: “Excuse me, I have the president of South Korea here. He doesn’t want to hear these questions, if you don’t mind.”

NBC News tweeted out the exchange.
