U.S. trade deficit grows to $68 bil. in Nov., highest level in 14 yrs

The U.S. deficit in trade of goods and services grew 8.0 percent in November from the previous month to $68.14 billion, the highest level since August 2006, the Commerce Department said Thursday. U.S. exports rose 1.2 percent to $184.17 billion, while imports were up 2.9 percent to $252.32 billion. By country, the U.S. goods trade deficit with Japan widened 14.9 percent in November to $6.72 billion, the highest level since April 2019.
