Vlhova wins again in Lech parallel race to extend overall lead

Slovakia’s World Cup leader Petra Vlhova pushed herself to the limit to win a women’s parallel event under lights in Lech, Austria on Thursday.Vlhova, who won two Levi slaloms last weekend, beat Paula Moltzan in the big final after the American slipped when appearing to be in the lead.The 25-year-old increased her overall lead to 185 points after her third straight win and 17th in her career while Moltzan’s second place was her first World Cup podium spot.Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami was third.The races, effectively mini giant slaloms, saw two skiers come down at the same time on adjacent courses.
