Wisconsin Football Is Taking A Page Right Out Of The 1950s. Here’s What They’re Doing

The Wisconsin Badgers are taking the game of football back about five decades, and I absolutely love it.

Why am I saying this? Well, it’s really simple. The Badgers are using a fullback to bully and dominate our opponents, and I couldn’t be more excited. There are few things sexier in the game of football than a nice fullback dive or the fullback leading the blockers as the running back tears it up.

Right now, Badgers fullback Alec Ingold can do it all. Watch a video of this kid below, and immediately tell me that all the other teams in America aren’t shaking in their boots.

The dude can hurdle! He’s a fullback that can literally hurdle defenders. Has that ever been seen before? I don’t think so. (RELATED: THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL WORLD SHOULD FEAR WISCONSIN FOR ONE SIMPLE REASON)

I love all these teams around the country trying to recruit insanely fast athletes so that they can run the spread. They can keep their spread offenses. We’ll keep our ground-it-out attack and our fullback. Football is simply better when a fullback is incorporated in the offense.

Other teams can laugh at us all they want, but I guarantee they won’t be laughing when we’re running all over them. They’ll be begging for a fullback once they realize the power of the big hefty guys that can run and make plays on offense. It might look like it’s taken from a playbook uncovered from the 1940s or 1950s, but it works.

We’ll use our power football to push ourselves to a national title. Don’t act surprised. You heard it here first.
